profile tire on wheels 18"+ (low profile being 45 or less), it takes a pretty good amount of force, and the clamping pressure on the inside of the wheel just isn't good enough to stop the wheel from spinning on the clamps, and that's where the majority of the scratches come from. The table rotates while you are putting the tire on, and if the tire hangs up while trying to mount it, the wheel stops but the table with clamps will still spin a bit and the clamps just tear up the inside. I've seen it happen a lot.
